BCYF achieves full accreditation

BCYF has received an official tick of approval against three sets of standards following an accreditation process conducted by Independent Review Body, Quality Innovation Performance (QIP).

With a commitment to achieving better outcomes for communities across Geelong, Colac and the Surf Coast, BCYF met all criteria across the three sets of standards – the Quality Improvement Council (QIC) Health and Community Services Standards, the Human Services Standards and the Early Childhood Intervention Standards.

As an independent not-for-profit community service organisation, BCYF addresses and supports the needs of the community through its six service platforms in Early Years, Family & Community, Youth, Alcohol and Other Drugs & Mental Health, Out-of-Home Care and headspace Geelong.

BCYF CEO Mr Sandy Morrison said that achieving a successful accreditation outcome through an independent body such as QIP was a recognition and validation of the organisation’s clear commitment and approach to serving the wider Barwon region community through its diverse array of services.

“Achieving this positive accreditation outcome means that BCYF, together with its partners, can continue to respond with meaning and purpose to the needs of children, young people and their families in line with our vision of a community where people are safe, connected and empowered to live well,” Mr Morrison said.
